David W Ollila, MD, is Associate Professor of Surgery at The University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He is also Surgical Director of the UNC Lineverger Comprehensive Cancer Center multidisciplinary breast program and sentinel lymph node program. He has contributed to over 40 publications and receives two sources of research support. Dr Ollila received a BA in chemistry and zoology from Miami University in 1986 and an MD from the University of Cincinnati in 1990.

Joel Tepper serves as Professor and Former Chair of The Department of Radiation Oncology at The University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Dr. Tepper is a member of The Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Tepper is considered an expert on radiation therapy and chemotherapy in gastrointestinal cancers.

His research primarily concerns the use of combined radiation therapy, chemotherapy and surgery to treat cancers of the digestive system and has focused on clinical trials and translational research both locally and with national groups. Additionally, Dr. Tepper is the Director of the UNC SPORE grant (Specialized Program of Research Excellence in gastrointestinal cancer, an approximately $11.5 million five-year grant given by the National Cancer Institute.
